Grijpskerke


Grijpskerke is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Veere and lies about 6 km northwest of Middelburg.
Grijpskerke was a separate municipality until 1966. Before 1816 it was called "Grijpskerke en Poppendamme". That year it was merged with Hoogelande and Buttinge en Zandvoort.
In 2001 the town of Grijpskerke had 1021 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.27 km² and contained 390 residences.
The statistical area "Grijpskerke", which can also include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1370.
