Gulubane


Gulubane is a village found in the northern part of Botswana, in North East District. The village is separated with five wards being Chume,Nkau, Nkhwa, Madwala, and Matshingitsi. It was founded in 1911. According to the Guide to the Villages of Botswana published in 1973, Gulubane had 123 dwellings and a population of 609. In 2013, it had a population of 897. There was no public transport to Gulubane in 2013 due to the bad condition of the roads though the roads were not to be improved using inter-locked bricks. The population was said to be 797 in 2015, which was insufficient to upgrade the health post in the village to a clinic with a maternity wing. Heavy rains in early 2018 destroyed 13 households in Gulubane.
