HBO Latin America Group


HBO Latin America is a company which owns several pay television networks in the region of Latin America. It was originally founded as a joint venture between Time Warner and Ole Communications, but as of May 4, 2020 it is fully owned by WarnerMedia.
In October 2019, WarnerMedia announced an agreement with Ole to acquire the latter's minority interest in the Spanish-language HBO, Max, and Cinemax channels in Latin America, in order to facilitate the future launch of the HBO Max streaming service in the region. HBO Brasil, and the companies' distribution partnership for Warner Channel and channels owned by other companies, are not affected at this time.

HBO Latin America Group owns and operates these channels, which will be acquired by WarnerMedia: :
HBO Brasil is operated by HBO Brasil Partners, a separate partnership between WarnerMedia and Ole.
