Hand i hand

"Hand i hand" is a song written by Magnus Uggla, and performed by him on the 1983 album Välkommen till folkhemmet. The chorus are taken from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's violin concert. Song lyrics reflect upon the hippie movement during the political left-wave in the Western World during the years around 1970. Living for 10 years inside a flat at Västerlånggatan in Gamla stan, Uggla would sometimes be awakened by songs like El Cóndor Pasa. He would sometimes reply by playing heavy metal.
