Hannah Darlington


Hannah Darlington is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Sydney Thunder in the Women's Big Bash League. She was the first graduate of the Thunder WBBL Academy.
Darlington got her start in cricket at school when she accidentally hit a teacher in the head with a ball, and was given a choice of detention or to join the cricket team.
Darlington has indigenous heritage and identifies as a member of the Kamilaroi people. In 2018, she was selected as the captain for the first female Indigenous Sydney Thunder team, and was also selected for an Indigenous team to tour England, as a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the 1868 Aboriginal tour of England.
