Harris is a locality in Humboldt County, California. It is located west-southwest of Alderpoint, at an elevation of.
The Harris post office opened in 1882, having been transferred from Dark Canyon, was located north of the current townsite. The post office moved to town in 1946, and closed for good in 1974. The name honors William C. Harris, its first postmaster.
