Harris Academy Chafford Hundred


Harris Academy Chafford Hundred is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Chafford Hundred in the borough of Thurrock within the commuter belt of London, England, United Kingdom. The building was designed by Nicholas Hare Architects. Previously a comprehensive school, it became an academy on 1 October 2011.
The school is now part of the Harris Federation of academy schools. It is a three-storey building with specialised classrooms such as for science. It also has a reception, a conference centre, a sports field and three halls, a cafeteria and a health office.
Harris Academy Chafford Hundred is recognised as an academy under the Harris Federation and therefore participates in Federation Sports Days and the Harris Experience programme.
Harris Academy Chafford Hundred now has a sixth form which can hold approximately 200 internal and external students, and is now operating at full capacity. In terms of A Level results, Harris Academy Chafford Hundred came 14th out of the whole of Essex.
Harris Academy Chafford Hundred is closely linked to Harris Primary Chafford Hundred, Harris Mayflower, and the newer Harris Academy Riverside, sharing executive principals and some teaching staff.
