Herschel Lashkowitz


Herschel Lashkowitz was an American politician from North Dakota, affiliated with the Democratic Party.
A lawyer and veteran of World War II, Lashkowitz served as mayor of Fargo for twenty years, from 1954 until 1974, when he was defeated for re-election.
Lashkowitz was an independent candidate for Governor in 1960, but lost. He was also the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senator in 1968, when he was defeated by longtime Republican incumbent Milton Young.
