HiPipo Music Awards


HiPipo Music Awards celebrates and promotes music, musicians and artistic excellence in Africa. Organized by Hipipo. First “HiPipo Charts Festival”, aka First HiPipo Music Awards, was held in - 2012. The second edition of HiPiPo Music awards was held on February 9, 2013.
The second annual HiPipo Music Awards took place on October 14, 2013 and culminated with a gala night at Wonder World auditorium in Kansanga. HiPipo Music Awards event is held annually between January and February.

Eligibility

To be considered, an artist must have released music content within 12 months prior to October of any year.

Nomination

Each category has five or six nominees. The nominees come from different nominating stakeholders including musicians, video/audio producers, songwriters, media personalities, and the general public.

Voting

Once nominations are complete, the public votes via text and Facebook through the official HiPipo Music Awards platform.
