Holy Cross School, Agartala


Holy Cross School, Agartala, is a co-educational day school located in Durjoynagar, Agartala, Tripura, India. It was established in 1970 by the Fathers of Holy Cross, an international catholic community. It is affiliated to the Council for ISCE, for ICSE/ISC. Holy Cross belongs to the Congregation of the Holy Cross International, Rome, Italy. It is one of the best school in North East India.

Pre-school to primary 2

The Sacred Heart block is the newer and smaller of the two campuses. It opened in September 1998 with 500 students and has grown into a school of 2500 students. Sacred Heart has a chapel on the ground floor.
The Sacred Block's middle floor, with its walkways and passages leading to the upper grounds of the campus, is home to a library and multi-media centre, seating areas, and open areas for activities and exhibitions. This is the first campus, within Tripura, to offer ICSE in the curriculum. Many of the classrooms offer exceptional views to the wooded areas behind and in front. It is accredited by CISCE.

Middle to secondary

From class kg1, the school provides an academic programme in English and from class 1 Hindi/Bengali and from class 5 Sanskrit/Lower Hindi.

Campus

The campus comprises four blocks: Andre Block, Moreau Block, Sacred Heart Block and Marcil Block.
The school's facilities include library, oasis, computer lab, science lab, an auditorium and hostel for both boys and girls.
The Sports Complex has facilities for
cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and badminton. It also
comprises one gym.

Academic Year and Timings

The School academic year
commences in January and ends in
December. The School runs in two
shifts. Nursery to Class IV in the first
shift, and Class V to Class XII in the
second shift.
