Hussein Mwinyi
Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi is a Tanzanian politician and Member of Parliament for Kwahani constituency since 2005. He is the current Minister of Defence and National Service of Tanzania. He is a member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi party and won the party nomination for the 2020 presidential candidate for Zanzibar.On 10th July 2020, National Executive Committee of CCM sitting in Dodoma picked Dr. Mwinyi at the presidential candidate for Zanzibar during the 2020 Chama Cha Mapinduzi convention. Dr. Hussein Mwinyi won with huge margin the intra-party election by 129 votes equivalent to 78.65 per cent while defeated his opponents Dr. Khalid Salum with 11 per cent and Hon. Shamsi Vuai Nahodha with only 9 per cent, which was headed by the party's Chairman Dr. John Magufuli.Personal life
He is the son of the former president of Tanzania Ali Hassan Mwinyi. He is married and has few kids.
