Huwniki


Huwniki is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Fredropol, within Przemyśl County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland, close to the border with Ukraine. It lies approximately south-west of Fredropol, south of Przemyśl, and south-east of the regional capital Rzeszów.
During the 1800s until World War II, its population predominantly attended Eastern Catholic Churches.
The town's population of 18 Jewish Poles was enslaved in the spring of 1942, and mass-murdered by Ukrainian police on 25 November 1942 at the Wiar creek near Przemyśl.
