Ibran Mustafić

Ibran Mustafić, is a Bosnian politician in the Party of Democratic Action party, and a former soldier in the Bosnian Army. He is the author of Planirani Haos 1990–1996, a book about war crimes perpetrated by Bosnian commander Naser Orić in Srebrenica during the Bosnian War. He was arrested in 1996 by the Republika Srpska authorities as the third on the list of war crimes perpetrators from Srebrenica. The RS wanted to exchange him for Aleksa Krsmanović. He was released a year later.
Mustafić claims that more than 500 Bosniaks in Srebrenica were killed by Bosnian soldiers, and that the Srebrenica massacre was an "agreed genocide" between Alija Izetbegović and international powers.
He accused the Bosnian government of ordering attacks against Serbs within the U.N. safe area so any Serb response would lead the Muslims "into a catastrophe". According to him, Srebrenica was meant to be the "lamb sacrificed on the foundations of the state". He insists that many more Srebrenicans had survived than acknowledged and that the Sarajevo government's attitude persuaded him that "the government hoped not to see so many people survive, that for them there are so to speak too many survivors from Srebrenica". He also asserts that the Clinton administration was complicit in the Srebrenica massacre by watching and not doing anything to stop it. In 2008, he was attacked and beaten by Bosniaks from Srebrenica.
