If the Shoe Fits is a 1990 American television film, starring Rob Lowe and Jennifer Grey. It was directed by Tom Clegg.

Plot

A modern version of Cinderella. While in Paris, she's trying to develop her career as a shoe designer. She ended up getting a chance to work with a fashion designer mad about his own ego, Salvitore. Pretending she's lost in Paris, Wanda the fairy tries very hard to get the correct directions on a crowded boulevard and nobody gives her attention but the sensible Kelly Carter. Very grateful, Wanda starts to follow Kelly and tries to help her succeed. Brilliant performance by Andrea Ferreol, who really brings such a special touch of magic to this motion picture. A very special moment when Wanda knocks on the door of the great Salvitore and teaches him what to do to regain his talent, by doing a great ball in his residence. Wanda insists on telling Salvitore that everything that he needs is closer than he thinks. Helped by the mysterious Wanda, Kelly Carter gets a pair of magic shoes, that make her turn into a supermodel by the name Prudence. After attending the ball, she attracts the attention of the famous fashion designer Francesco Salvitore, who proclaims her as his new diva and new face of his fashion house.

Movie review website Moria gave the a movie a very bad review, stating: "It is all directed with a giddy silliness. Most of the cast overact at the level of cartoonish farce. Rob Lowe is a particular offender, deliberately giving a vain and preening performance."
