Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Bar


The Immaculate Conception Cathedral is the name given to a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church and is located in the town of Bar a coastal city facing the Adriatic Sea belonging to the European country of Montenegro.
The temple follows the Roman or Latin rite and functions as the headquarters of the Archdiocese of Bar which was created as a diocese in the tenth century at the time suffragan of the Archdiocese of Split-Makarska and elevated to Archdiocese in 1034.
The current building serves as cathedral since 1828.
