"In Thee" is a song by American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult, from the band's 1979 album, Mirrors. The song was released as the band's 14th single the same year, and reached #74 on the Billboard 100, as well as #97 on the Cashbox' 100. The song was written by BÖC keyboard/guitar player Allen Lanier about the demise of his relationship with Patti Smith. The line "Jim says some destinies should not be delivered" references the Jim Carroll Band song "Day and Night."Chart performance
