Indonesia 2000 census

The Indonesia 2000 census or Indonesia Census 2000 was carried out with the fix-date 2000-06-30 and counted 203 million people, a revised figure of 206 264 595 people with estimates was deemed as official. In some provinces, notably then secessionist Aceh, estimates had to be made, and the census was criticized internationally for significant underreporting.
The census also asked for ethnicity. 101 ethnic groups were identified, but there are probably thousands.
Between the year 2000 and 2010, there were various surveys conducted, including the 2007 nationwide Socio-economic survey.
The latest census conducted in Indonesia was the Indonesia 2010 Census, in which preliminary results have been trickling in.
