International representation of Donetsk and Luhansk
The Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic are two unrecognized proto-states located in the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine. Internationally, they are recognized as constituent regions of Ukraine as the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, respectively. They proclaimed their independence after the 2014 Ukrainian revolution and the subsequent Russian military intervention, later on merging together as the unrecognized state of Novorossiya, only to be dissolved in 2015. Today, they are only officially recognized by South Ossetia. Both entities have no embassies in any other state.- – in 2016, DNR sympathizers opened a self-proclaimed "Consulate" in Ostrava
