Ioanna Chamalidou


Ioanna Chamalidou is a Greek women's footballer, who plays as midfielder for Beşiktaş J.K. with jersey number 96 in the Turkish Women's First Football League. She played for the Greece women's national under-19 team and Greece women's national team.
Ioanna Chamalidou was born in Giannitsa, Pella, northern Greece on 11 October 1996.

Playing career

Club

Chamalidou began playing football in Giannitsa Renaissance Academy at the age of 9.,
;PAOK FC
In 2010, she joined PAOK FC in the Greek Women's A Division, where she played until 2018. She enjoyed participation in the UEFA Champions League in 2011, seven league champion titles of the Greek A Division and five Greek Women's Cup champion titles. She took part in all three matches at the 2013–14 UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying group - Group 6, and in all five matches at the 2015–16 UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying round - Group 2 and knockout phase. In the match against FC NSA Sofia, she scored one goal. In the last two seasons of her time at PAOK FC, she had to stand away from the pitch due to two successive injuries.
;Aris Thessaloniki FC
By early November 2018, she left PAOK FC, which intended to loan out her to a club outside Thessaloniki. As she was attending Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she rejected the offer, and transferred to Aris Thessaloniki FC playing in the Greek Women's A Division.
; Zaragoza CFF
By July 2019, she moved to Spain and signed with Zaragoza CFF, which played in the North Group of the Segunda División Pro League.
; Beşiktaş J.K.
By end January 2020, she transferred to the Istanbul-based Beşiktaş J.K. to play in the second half of the 2019–20 Turkish Women's First Football League.

International

;Greece U-19
As a member of the Greece women's national under-19 football team, Chamalidou took part in three matches of the 2014 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship qualification - Group 2, and scored one goal in the match against Kazakhstan. She played in three matches at the 2015 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship qualification - Group 10.

Chamalidou was called up to the Greece women's national team, and appeared in one of the UEFA Women's Euro 2017 qualifying Group 3 matches.
