Isaiah Johnson (cornerback)


Isaiah Johnson is an American football cornerback for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League. He played college football at Houston.

Early years

Johnson attended James Earl Rudder High School in Bryan, Texas. He committed to the University of Houston to play college football.

College career

Johnson played at Houston from 2014 to 2018. He spent his first two years as a wide receiver before switching to cornerback prior to his junior year in 2017. During his two years as a receiver, he had 21 receptions for 208 yards. In his two years as a cornerback, he had 115 tackles and four interceptions.

Professional career

Johnson was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He was placed on injured reserve on September 2, 2019. He was designated for return and began practicing again on October 14. He was activated on November 4.
