Israel Maimon


Israel Maimon is president & CEO of Development Corporation for Israel/Israel Bonds.

Military service

Maimon joined the Israel Defense Forces in 1984 and was recruited to the Golani Brigade, where he served in all command positions, reaching the rank of company commander. As part of his reserve duty, he was an operations officer at the Infantry Division with the rank of major.

Legal experience

A lawyer by profession, between 1993 and 1994 Maimon was a legal assistant to Dr. Suzie Navot, then presiding judge of the Supreme Tribunal of the College of Management Academic Studies. He holds an LL.B. from the Academic Track of the College of Administration Law School in Tel Aviv, and was an honors student his first two years of his study. He worked at the Haberman, Dovev, Stern and Partners law firm, becoming a partner in January 1999. Maimon has extensive experience in counseling and presenting before legal tribunals.

Government secretary

In March 2003, Maimon was appointed cabinet secretary for the government of Ariel Sharon. On 4 January 2006, Sharon suffered a stroke and Maimon determined that government authority should be transferred to acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. During his tenure, Maimon served in governments whose composition included almost all of Israel's Zionist parties. Maimon resigned as cabinet secretary on 1 July 2007.

Private sector

Following his government service, Maimon was an external director at Cal-Israel Credit Cards Ltd., a corporation owned by two public banks providing all credit card activities, including granting private and commercial credit. He was an external director at Fox-Wiesel Ltd., a public company in the fashion and home-styling field, for which he was chairman of the Compensation Committee and a member of both the Audit and Financial Reports committees. Additionally, Maimon was a director for Matzlawi Construction Company Ltd., an Israeli real estate and construction company, for which he was a member of the Financial Reports Committee.
In 2012, Maimon founded Think Content Events, a production company specializing in creating and producing content for conferences, conventions and events. The company provided a range of services including strategy, concept development selection and recruitment of speakers from Israel and abroad, coordination, management and execution of the production of the event, recruitment of sponsors and creation of partnerships.
Maimon also started a consulting firm that provided advice to companies and large organizations, both public and private, regarding relations with government, policy makers and regulators based on his knowledge of the decision-making process and Israeli structure of governance.

Israeli Presidential Conference

Maimon was chairman of the Israeli Presidential Conference Steering Committee for the annual international conference, 'Facing Tomorrow,' held under the auspices of then-President Shimon Peres. The Steering Committee coordinated and brought to fruition the three-day conference, with Maimon dealing with content development, fundraising and the general running and implementation of the conference.

Maimon officially became president & CEO of Development Corporation for Israel /Israel Bonds on 14 October 2016.
