Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002
Israel participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn. Sarit Hadad represented Israel with the song "Light a Candle".Before Eurovision
On November 2001, IBA announced Sarit Hadad as the Israeli entrant at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002. On December 2001, Hadad submitted four songs to IBA and a committee voted on the songs on 24 December 2001. The song "Light a Candle" received the most points and was selected as the song Sarit will perform at the 2002 contest.At Eurovision
Israel scored 37 points, finishing 12th.
