Isyss


Isyss was an American R&B girl group. The original members consisted of LeTecia Harrison, Ardena Clark, Quierra "Qui Qui" Davis-Martin and La'Myia Good. Ardena Clark removed herself from the group after the release of their debut album to study politics. She was replaced by a singer named "Love".

Music career

As a group they achieved moderate success in 2002 with their debut album The Way We Do, which included the Hot 100 charting singles "Day & Night" and "Single For The Rest Of My Life". The album peaked at #55 on the Billboard 200. During their career they performed the theme song to the short lived BET talk show Oh Drama. They were also nominated for two Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards, winning one. They were the spokespersons for the hair care products "Got 2 B So Smooth". They were later dropped from Arista Records, during production of their second album. A single titled "Infatuation" was planned but was never released. Ardena Clark left the group during their tour and was replaced by a new member known only as "Love". Isyss disbanded shortly after this due to creative differences.

After Isyss

La'Myia Good and "Love" formed an R&B trio called Bad Gyrl. Although Bad Gyrl released several videos and songs online, no album was released and they eventually broke up. Currently Good is focusing on her acting career. Quierra Davis-Martin is pursuing a solo music career. LeTecia Harrison is a caregiver for the disabled and elderly and works for the company Right At Home. Ardena Clark got married in 2011, became a published author and writes for LA Sentinel.
