Jack Dyte
John Leonard Douglas Haig "Jack" Dyte was a Canadian former ice hockey defenceman who played 27 games for the Chicago Black Hawks of the NHL.Career
Dyte played his junior hockey with the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League and spent one season with the Niagara Falls Cataracts of the OHA Senior A League. After three seasons in the Eastern Hockey League, where Dyte was named to the EAHL All-Star Team in consecutive years, and a season with the Montreal Royals, Dyte signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Blackhawks. He played 27 games with the Blackhawks, scoring one goal.
Dyte finished his career playing in the AHL from 1943 until 1946 and would continue to play semi-professional hockey until his retirement after the 1949-50 season.
