Jack Roslovic


John Roslovic is an American professional ice hockey player for the
Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League. He was selected in the first round, 25th overall by the Jets in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career

Roslovic played minor ice hockey with the Easton Youth Hockey Association Ice Dragons and the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets. He participated in the 2010 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the AAA Blue Jackets. Roslovic played the 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons in the United States Hockey League as a member of the USA Hockey National Team Development Program. Roslovic's outstanding play was rewarded when he was invited to skate in the 2014 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game. He played 25 games for Team USA in the 2014–15 USHL season, accumulating 11 goals and 38 points. Roslovic committed to play the 2015–16 season with Miami University.
Roslovic was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the first round, 25th overall, in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. The Jets acquired the draft pick in a trade that sent Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, Joel Armia, and Brendan Lemieux.
On July 18, 2016, Roslovic signalled the end of his collegiate career in agreeing to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Winnipeg Jets.
On April 6, 2017, Roslovic made his NHL debut at his home town of Columbus against the Columbus Blue Jackets. After one game he was reassigned to the Jets AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose. Roslovic ended the 2016–17 season leading the Moose in scoring with 48 points in 65 games.
Roslovic was again called up to the NHL on January 19, 2018, and he scored his first NHL goal and point on January 25, 2018, against the Anaheim Ducks.
Roslovic began the 2018–19 season with the Winnipeg Jets in the NHL. He scored his first career hat-trick in a 9–3 win over the Anaheim Ducks on February 2, 2019. All of his goals came on the powerplay. This allowed Roslovic to be named the NHL's first star of the week ending February 4, 2019.

International play

Roslovic helped lead Team USA to a gold medal at the 2014 World U-17 Hockey Challenge. He also won a gold medal as a member of Team USA at the 2015 IIHF World U18 Championships, where he was individually honored as one of the Top Three Players on his team.
