Jakub Jarosz


Jakub Władysław Jarosz is a Polish volleyball player, a member of Poland men's national volleyball team and Polish club GKS Katowice, a participant of the Olympic Games, 2009 European Champion, a gold medalist of the 2012 World League, a silver medalist of the 2011 World Cup, a bronze medalist of the 2011 World League 2011 and 2011 European Championship and Polish Champion.

Personal life

Jakub Jarosz was born in Nysa, Poland. His grandfather and father Maciej are a former volleyball players. His brother Marcin is also volleyball player. On May 12, 2012 he married Agnieszka. On August 26, 2013 their first child was born, a son named Kacper. In early 2017 his wife gave birth to their second son Leon.

Career

Clubs

In April 2017 he signed contract with Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.

National team

In 2009 the Poland men's national volleyball team, including Jarosz, won a title of the European Champion. On September 14, 2009 he was awarded Knight's Cross of Polonia Restituta. The Order was conferred on the following day by the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk. With the Polish team he won three medals in 2011 – silver at the World Cup and two bronzes in the World League and European Championship. He was a gold medalist of World League 2012 in Sofia, Bulgary.
