History

Jamni is the land of Mahrishi Jamadagni who is the father of Parashurama, the sixth incarnation of Vishnu. There is a temple of Rishi and his wife Renuka, which had 47 acres of fertile land. People of various castes such as Bairagi, Jat and Brahmins with nearly equal in number live here. People of other caste are also found. This village is very peaceful. All kind of people live here in a very strong brotherhood.
