It is situated at Periya about 11Km from Kanhangad and 24 km far from Kasaragod. Kasaragod is well known for its historical & tourist places such as Bekal Fort, Anandashram, Nithyananda ashram and so on.
Objectives
"Pragyanam Brhamam" is the motto of vidyalaya, symbol consist of students assisted by the teacher, holding the book and computer in contact and in compact. The symbol indicates all direction of efforts; ensure real and modern time development of the students. The aim of Vidyalaya is to impart quality education to rural talented Children of district Kasaragod, Kerala to meet the new challenges of Competitive era. It is a mission to bring out the best in every student. We make efforts to unravel these talents and potentialities so as to enable him/her to prove in the modern world of Challenges and competitions.
Campus
The school is built on campus of about thirty acres in peaceful green surroundings.
Houses
Students are allotted to four houses Aravali, Nilgiri, Shivalik, Udaigiri and each have separate hostels for boys and girls. the colours of these houses being blue,green,red and yellow respectively.
School uniform
List of the following will be provided by the school to the students Junior boys/girls - White half sleeves shirt, Grey trousers/short, White socks, White canvas shoes. Senior boys - White half sleeves shirt, Grey full trousers, White socks, White canvas shoes. Senior girls - Grey top churidhar with white pants and shawl, White socks, White canvas shoes.
The migration policy helps to inculcate the spirit of national integration among the students by making them live with their peer group in a different atmosphere at a young and early age. The migration scheme of Navodaya Vidyalaya provides for implementation of the three language formula. The third language taught in Hindi speaking district is linked with the migration of students. In the Hindi speaking district, the third language taught in a Navodaya Vidyalaya is the language of the 30% students migrated to that Vidyalaya from non Hindi regions. Learning third language helps them to interact with local inhabitants and helps them exchange their views, culture and traditional information. This policy help them contribute to strengthen the national integration.
