Jay Chaudhry


Jay Chaudhry is an Indian-American billionaire businessman and the CEO and founder of Zscaler, a cybersecurity company. Prior to this, he founded AirDefense, CipherTrust, CoreHarbor and Secure IT.

Early life

Chaudhry grew up in a Himalayan village without running water. He earned a bachelor's degree from Banaras Hindu University, and a master's and MBA from the University of Cincinnati.

Career

In 1997, Chaudhry founded Secureit and CipherTrust. He is also a board member of Air2Web. After Zscaler's March 2019 IPO, Chaudhry was reckoned to be a billionaire. In 2018, Chaudhry was selected as a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award program in Northern California.

Personal life

He is married to Jyoti, they have three children, and live in Saratoga, California.
