• In 1967 Bottequin receives the ‘'Preis der belgischen Kritik'‘ for his extraordinary black&white photography.
• In 1981 he is the recipient of the ‘'Sonderpreis der Triennale der Photographie'‘ in Fribourg, Switzerland.
