Jeremy Meeks


Jeremy Ray Meeks is an American fashion model. A former member of the Crips and a convicted felon, Meeks first came to prominence after his arrest in 2014 during a gang sweep called Operation Ceasefire in Stockton, California, after which police posted his mug shot on Facebook. Meeks was convicted of federal charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and grand theft. Upon his release from Mendota Federal Correctional Institution in March 2016, Meeks began a modeling career.

Early life

Meeks was born on February 7, 1984, and is the son of Katherine Angier and brother of Emery Meeks.
In 2002, Meeks was charged with robbery and corporal injury to a child. Meeks had violently assaulted a 16-year-old boy when he was 18. After taking a plea deal, he was sentenced to serve two years in a California prison, during which he admitted to claiming the North Side Gangster Crips. His mugshot was popular on social media leading him to modeling contracts after he got out of prison.

Modeling career

While still in prison and serving a 27-month sentence, Meeks, dubbed "hot felon" by some media, was discovered by Jim Jordan and signed a modeling contract with White Cross Management.
During New York Fashion Week in February 2017, Meeks made his runway debut. After his appearance, Vogue magazine described him as a "buff bad boy". Meeks has since walked for Philipp Plein and Tommy Hilfiger, and graced the cover of Swiss L'Officiel Hommes.
In August 2017, Meeks appeared in a campaign for sunglasses fashion house Carolina Lemke, partially owned by Bar Refaeli. The campaign tagged Meeks' background as different than Refaeli's, who appeared in the campaign alongside Meeks, stating, "There has never been a mix like this."

In 2018, he appeared in the music video Wi-Fi by Russian pop singer Olga Buzova.

Personal life

Jeremy Meeks has a child with Melissa Meeks, who he was married to from 2008 to 2018. Jeremy Meeks had gone on a trip to Turkey, where the first images of him and Chloe Green came out on a yacht."
In June 2017, it was reported that Meeks was in a relationship with Chloe Green, the daughter of businessman Philip Green. On May 29, 2018, Green gave birth to the couple's first son, Jayden Meeks-Green.
In August 2019 it was reported the couple had amicably split and were selling their joint London home.
