Jetset Getset is an American, teenage country pop musical group based in Dearborn County, Indiana. The group has released two albums: the independently produced "JetSetGetSet" and "Saturday Night". In 2013, Jetset Getset was named one of the Country Music Association’s “Who New to Watch.” Originally a vocal trio, the group is now composed of two lead singers and five musicians.

History

Jetset Getset’s origin dates to 2009, when manager Kelli Jette, a former elementary school music teacher, decided to form a small musical group to perform at local fairs and festivals, primarily for fun. After working with various combinations of child singers, she eventually settled on singers Tori Little, Sadie Loveland and Avery Eliason, each of whom she recruited locally through personal connections.
Using the original, single-word name JetSetGetset, the trio performed cover songs to pre-recorded Karaoke tracks at local festivals, as well as some larger venues, including the Kentucky Speedway, the Minnesota State Fair, and the nationally syndicated television program “The Molly B Polka Party” on the RFD-TV network. Within a few months, Jette decided that the group should include some original songs in their performances, which necessitated the formation of a band.
Jette began searching for musicians who were close in age to the singers. The first musician she invited to join the band was guitarist Jason Owens. Owens had been recommended by Jette’s father, Terry Ranck, who was acquainted with Owens through a local music store. Jette’s son, Justen Jette, was so impressed with Owens’ guitar-playing skills that he decided to learn to play guitar, as well. Soon, Jette joined the band, as rhythm guitarist.
In addition to the singers, Owens and Jette, the original band also consisted of bass guitarist Paul Kelley, drummer Aaron Smith, and keyboard player Terry Ranck, the only adult member of the group. By the summer of 2011, JetSetGetSet was venturing farther from their home in southeastern Indiana, performing at larger fairs and festivals throughout the South, Midwest and Upper Midwest.
In 2011, group released their first album, the self-titled '"JetSetGetSet," which included their signature song, "Indiana Baby." That song and all others on the album were written by Jennifer Eliason, the mother of singer Avery Eliason.

''Saturday Night'' album

In the spring of 2012, JetSetGetSet was performing on The Shotgun Red Variety Show, a nationally syndicated program on the RFD-TV network in Nashville, when retired record producer and radio personality Jack Gale saw them. Impressed with the singers' harmonies, he contacted Jette the next day and invited her to sign a recording contract. Gale came out of retirement and reactivated his company, Playback Records, with help from longtime friend and co-producer Jim Pierce, another veteran of the country-music industry. Together and individually, Gale and Pierce had previously worked with many top names in country music, including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Buck Owens and others.
At Gale's suggestion, Jette agreed to split the name of her group into two words, “Jetset Getset,” as it is now known. Gale and Pierce recruited some of Nashville's leading session musicians to work with Jetset Getset on the new album: guitarist Kerry Marx, drummer Eddie Bayers, acoustic guitarist Michael Spriggs, bass guitarist Duncan Mullins, pianist Michael Rojas, fiddler Rob Hajacos and fiddler/mandolin player Wanda Vick.
The album Saturday Night was recorded and mixed by veteran engineer Mark Moseley in July, 2012, at Catch This Music and Sound Control studios in Nashville, and was released in October, 2012. In November, several hundred fans turned out for Jetset Getset’s album release concert at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill, the largest country-music nightclub in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Shortly after the album release concert, drummer Aaron Smith resigned from Jetset Getset to pursue other musical goals. He was replaced by 13-year-old Gillian Bowman, who, three weeks later, made her debut with Jetset Getset in a live performance on the program “Coffee, Country & Cody” on Nashville’s WSM-AM, and later that evening, in a performance at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville.
The album Saturday Night received generally positive reviews, with the website MusicNewsNashville.com praising the group’s harmonies and writing that Jetset Getset “has the potential to be country music’s next powerhouse female trio.” Music Connection Magazine described the group’s music as “sprightly country twang.” In February, 2013, CMA Close Up, a publication of the Country Music Association, named Jetset Getset one of 20 artists on the magazine’s list of “Who New to Watch in 2013.” In May 2013, the group made their Hollywood debut as the featured musical act at the 34th Young Artist Awards.
In August 2013, Jetset Getset partnered with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center, allowing the nonprofit organization to use one of the band’s songs, “Stronger,” as part of a bullying prevention program in schools. A music video for the song was displayed on PACER’s website, along with videotaped bullying prevention messages from the members of Jetset Getset.
In October 2013, Jetset Getset was named the official band of Leavine Family Racing, a NASCAR team based in Tyler, Texas, and Concord, North Carolina. The band's name was first displayed on LFR's No. 95 Ford Mustang in a race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 12.
In February 2014, singer Sadie Loveland resigned from Jetset Getset to pursue other interests.
