Jody Wynn


Jody Wynn is an American women's basketball coach who is the current head coach at Washington.

High school

Jody Wynn was a prep standout at Brea Olinda High School, playing under coach Mark Trakh. She earned CIF-Southern Section and Orange County Player of the Year honors in 1991 and 1992. She was also tabbed a USA Today and Street & Smith's honorable mention All-American.
Wynn played forward and was a four-year starter at Brea Olinda. She scored 16 points per game as a senior. In her four years, The Ladycats had a 129-6 record and won three California state championships.

College

She attended USC and earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science from USC in 1996 and attained a master's in education from Pepperdine in 2000. During her playing career, the USC Trojans had a cumulative record of 79-35, they won the 1994 Pac-10 Conference championship, and they made three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances from 1993 to '95. Wynn played for three head coaches while at USC: Marianne Stanley, Cheryl Miller, and Fred Williams. Wynn's best statistical season came as a junior in 1995. She started 27 games and she averaged 8.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per contest. She had career-ending ankle surgery in her senior year.

Coaching career

Long Beach State

On April 7, 2009, Wynn was named head coach of the Long Beach State Women's Basketball program.

Washington

On April 14, 2017, Wynn was named head coach of the Washington Women's Basketball program.

Personal life

Jody Anton married Derek Wynn in 2000. They have two daughters.
