Joe Purzycki
Joseph Purzycki is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at Delaware State University from 1981 to 1984 and James Madison University between 1985 and 1990. Purzycki became the first white man to ever be named a head football coach at an historically black college or university when he was elected Delaware State's newest head coach in 1981. Purzycki was an assistant at the University of Delaware prior to his Delaware State tenure, where he learned the Wing T offense from College Football Hall of Fame coach Tubby Raymond.College
