Johann Adalbert Angermeyer


Johann Adalbert Angermeyer, was a Bohemian painter.

Biography

He was born in Bílina and became the pupil of Johann Rudolf Byss. He was influenced by the still lifes of Cornelis de Heem and Roelant Savery, and became the teacher of Caspar Hirscheli. He is known for works with animals, fruit and flower still lifes, and hunting pieces.
He is probably related to the 18th-century German painter Antonius Angermeyer.
He died in Prague.
