John Bell (legal scholar)


John Bell QC, FBA, FRSA, is professor of law in the Faculty of Law at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Pembroke College, Cambridge.
Prior to appointment to his current position in 2001, he was professor of law at the University of Leeds and fellow and tutor in law at Wadham College, Oxford.
He is an honorary member of Hardwicke Chambers. He was ordained as a permanent deacon within the Catholic Church in July 2012.

Academic interests

Bell's academic interests include comparative law, jurisprudence, public law, and European Law.
