John II, Count of Blois

John II of Châtillon, second son of Louis I of Châtillon and Jeanne of Avesnes, was count of Blois and lord of Avesnes from 1372 to 1381.
In February 1372, he married Mathilde of Guelders, the daughter and co-heir of Duke Reginald II of Guelders, and became Lord of Schoonhoven and Gouda. He spent most of his career trying to seize Guelders from Mathilde's nephew William I of Guelders and Jülich.
