John McLaren (cricketer)


John William McLaren was an Australian cricketer who played in 1 Test in 1912.
McLaren was the son of Elizabeth McIntyre and William McLaren. He became the first Queenslander to play for Australia when he was selected for the 5th Test of the 1911–12 Ashes series.
A diabetic, McLaren died in 1921 aged 34 as a result of his condition and was buried in Brisbane's Toowong Cemetery.
