Joscha Bach


Joscha Bach is a cognitive scientist focusing on cognitive architectures, models of mental representation, emotion, motivation and sociality. Achievements include research in novel data compression algorithm using concurrent entropy models; development of microPsi cognitive architecture for modeling emotion, motivation, mental representation. Before joining AI Foundation, he worked as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab and the Harvard Program for Evolutionary Dynamics as an AI researcher.
According to fact-finding reports from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bach was attributed more than $150,000 by the Jeffrey Epstein charitable fund "VI Foundation". Large parts of the funding were made post-conviction of Epstein.. According to Science, Harvard University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bach declined to comment on his ties to Epstein.
