Jose Rafael Diaz


Jose Rafael Evangelista Diaz is a former mayor of San Mateo, Rizal in the Philippines. He took office on June 30, 2007.
Prior to his becoming mayor, Diaz was Municipal Administrator for the San Mateo Rizal Municipal Government. Prior to that, he worked as a stock broker and financial analyst.

Personal life

Diaz is a son of former Mayor Jose F. Diaz and Leticia E. Diaz. He attended Marist School - Marikina. He later graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the Ateneo de Manila University. He is married to Cristina Cristi-Diaz and they have four children. He is the former Mayor and Currently the Vice mayor of San Mateo, Rizal. His wife, Cristina C. Diaz, who happens to be the Vice Mayor is now the Mayor of the aforementioned municipality.
