Innovations and curiosities

Since his first appointment at the end of 2017, the current Editor-in-Chief has implemented several original and disruptive innovations to the original JKM structure and organization: he did, in fact, divide, for the first time in the history of the JKM, the original Editorial Board into an Editorial Advisory Board, having the purpose to advice the Editor-in-Chief with regards to strategic addresses for the journal; and an Editorial Board, having the final goal to support the Editor-in-Chief with the daily editorial operations as well as to contribute to the active promotion of the journal in the worldwide scientific community. Prof. Del Giudice did also enlarge the Regional Editor team with the specific inclusive purpose of giving "voice" to a wider number of local scientific communities: respect to the original JKM organization, he did introduce and dedicate one Regional Editor to Africa, two Regional Editors to Asia, two Regional Editors to Oceania, two Regional Editors to North America, one Regional Editor to Latin America, two Regional Editors to South America, four Regional Editors to Europe. He did also introduce, for the first time, the Real Impact Articles, with the clear specific purpose to delivery specifically "real impactive contents". As further innovations, he did set up two new positions for the JKM, supporting his daily editorial job: one Assistant Managing Editor and one Social Media Editor. The eclectic and visionary mind of the JKM Editor-in-Chief did also gave birth to other future-blinking innovations, like the video-launch for the Special Issues and the video-editorial, for those special numbers. Under Prof. Del Giudice's daring editorship and thanks to his farsighted policy of enlarging the scientific borders of the journal by opening the mind to different scientific communities linked to KM studies and research, the JKM has grown up from about 500 to more than 1,000 submissions per year, with an increase of published articles from 84 to 110, anyway keeping the articles' selection process at the highest levels of rigorousness with one of the highest rejection rate in the Management and IS fields.Today, the JKM can count on experienced reviewers coming from about 100 different countries in the world. During the last year, the manuscripts accepted show authors coming from about 80 different countries.
