Juan de Carvajal

Juan de Carvajal was a Spanish conquistador and one of the first Governors of the Venezuela Province. He founded El Tocuyo in 1545. When Philipp von Hutten and Bartholomeus VI. Welser returned from a failed expedition to find El Dorado, Carvajal had them killed, and the Welser family's colonial rights were withdrawn soon after, ending Klein-Venedig.
