Julietta Vardanyan


Julietta Vardanyan is an Armenian pianist, harpsichordist, and organist.

Biography

Vardanyan was born in Yerevan. She graduated from the Yerevan State Conservatory. She has had master classes by pianists Paul Badura-Skoda and Boris Berman.
As a soloist performed with Narekatsi, "Four Seasons", the Moldova's National Chamber Orchestras, Armenia State Youth, Opera and Ballet National and Zaporozhye Symphonic Orchestras, conductors V. Bulakhov, C. Florea, A. Khaindrava, Sergey Smbatyan R. Asatryan, A. Talalyan, M. Kokzhayev, Y. Yakulov. She is the first performer of the piano concertos of Composer Yakov Yakulov and Hayg Boyadjian. Vardanyan was recorded at "Hermes Records", collaborated with violinists such as L.Chilinkirian, B. Lifschits, H. Mokatsian, T. Maytesyan, Kh. Babayan, clarinetist V. Lando, Baritone L.Fernando-Yaneza, Sopranos H. Baghdasaryan, I. Zakyan and so on.
She performs periodically in CIS, Europe, the Far and Middle East and Iran.
Vardanyan is an active participant of international and Armenian authoritative festivals "National Gallery of Arts", "Return ", "Talalyan brothers", "A. Khachaturian", " Yerevan Perspectives", Fajr", Moscow autumn", Martisor, Deiá, "Minime" "Heres", "Forte" and others.
Since 2013 she is the executive director of "Talalyan Brothers" festival.
Since 2015 she is a pedagogue of Chamber ensemble and Concertmaster's class in Arno Babajanyan Musical Pedagogical College.
Since 2009 she has formed a piano-cello duo "Ars lunga", together with Honored Artist of Armenia, cellist Aram Talalyan with whom in 2011-2012 completed recording project "Anthology of Armenian Chamber Music" which consists of 60 records of Diaspora and Armenian Composers' Cello and Piano works as well as video recordings of complete works for cello and piano by R. Schumann, Tigran Mansurian and Aram Khachaturian.
At present "Ars Lunga" makes "Anthology of Armenian Chamber Music" recordings part 2, which summarizes Armenian piano trios. The main aim of the duo is the retention of Academic music and its spread abroad.
