Justin Ena


Justin Peato Ena is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans. He played for the Eagles for two years until he was cut and picked up by the Titans. He returned to the Eagles in 2005 just prior to his retirement.
He played college football at Brigham Young University.

Family Links

Ena comes from a football family. His uncle Tali played fullback at Washington State from 1976–1979 and was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 1980.
His brother Eti is the defensive coordinator at Eastern Washington. Another brother, Packy, lettered at Oregon State from 1993-94 after transferring from Snow College. Packy is an assistant coach at Waipahu High School in Hawai'i. His cousin Tali Jr played at both Washington State and New Mexico.

Coaching career

Ena was previously the Defensive Coordinator and Linebacker Coach at Southern Utah University. The Thunderbirds won the Great West Conference Championship in 2010. In 2012, Coach Ena coached the Thunderbirds in the Big Sky Conference.
In 2014, he was the defensive coordinator and linebacker coach at Weber State University.
Ena spent four years at Utah, starting as the linebackers coach before adding Co-Special Teams Coordinator to his title.
In December 2018, Ena was announced as the new defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach for the Utah State Aggies. It was announced that Ena would no longer be the defensive coordinator for the Aggies in 2020, but would still coach the inside linebackers.
