Juventus F.C. Women

Juventus Football Club S.p.A., also known as Juve or with the commercial name of Juventus Women, is an Italian women's association football club based in Turin, section of the homonymous professional football club. It was established in 2017 following an acquisition of the Serie A license of Cuneo Calcio Femminile. The team has competed in Serie A since its debut in 2017–18 season.

History

Before the 2017–18 season, Juventus only had women's youth teams. A club playing under the name in and Serie A in the past has no connection to Juventus F.C.
Juventus' general manager Giuseppe Marotta announced in May 2017 that the club would found a women's team. On 4 August 2018 the club acquired the Serie A licence from A.S.D. Cuneo Calcio Femminile. At the same time, Cuneo Calcio Femminile became an affiliated club of A.C. Cuneo 1905 for women's youth football.
In Juventus' first season in 2017–18 they won the Serie A title on 20 May 2018. Juventus played against Brescia in a single-legged play-off match, as they finished the season tied at 60 points. Following a goalless draw after 120 minutes, Juventus beat Brescia 5–4 in a penalty shoot-out. They won their second consecutive title on 20 April 2019, and made the season a double with a Coppa Italia win, beating Fiorentina 2–1 on 28 April 2019. Juventus won their third consecutive title after it was awarded on 25 June 2020, following the Italian government's decision to terminate the league on 8 June due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy.
