KNIA


KNIA is a full-service radio station licensed to serve Knoxville, Iowa, United States. The station is owned by M and H Broadcasting, Inc.
KNIA broadcasts a country music format with news and other public affairs programming. On Sundays, Gospel music and other religious programming is aired.

History

Forrest Mitchell put KNIA on the air in 1960. In September 1964, Mitchell Broadcasting Corporation announced the sale of KNIA to Stevens Radio Corporation.

In December 1992, Leighton Enterprises, Inc., reached an agreement to sell this station to M and H Broadcasting, Inc. The deal was approved by the FCC on February 23, 1993, and the transaction was consummated on March 1, 1993.
