Kaka Bhaniawala


Kaka Bhaniawala ; born Santokh Singh Rataurh; was a Punjabi singer from a village in the state of Punjab, India called Doaba Bhaini, near Kohara on., represented within his name, meaning from Bhani. This village is located near Koom Kalan within the district of Ludhiana, Punjab. The name 'Kaka' was a nickname presented to him by his mother which he then took upon to be signature name on the stage. Sanjeev Sood of Music Pearls Company, Ludhiana first introduced him and christened him with the name "Kaka Bhaniawala." His debut album with Music Pearls Recording Company Ludhiana is Mashooq Teri Challi, recorded at studio multichannel in the melodious music of SH> Atul Sharma Ji and produced by Sanjeev Sood. His second album with music pearls was "Shadti Aashquie Mundiya Ne" again produced by Sanjeev Sood of Music Pearls Ludhiana, producer being Sanjeev Sood and music by the music director Atul Sharma Ji, then came a duet cassete with co-singer Sunita Rattu "Vaddiya Sharabiya" and music label was MUSIC PEARLS. then he recorded a Punjabi Boliyan cassette " DUKH PARDESA DE " WRITTEN BY MOHINDER SINGH SOOMAL OF CANADA depicting the life of punjabies in then canada. all these are available on you tube platform on "MUSIC PEARLS" channel.

Musical career

Kaka started out singing in India with Music Label namely "MUSIC PEARLS RECORDING COMPANY Opposite BUS STAND LUDHIANA. and released many albums through a well known Music Label "MUSIC PEARLS" of PUNJAB, INDIA which brought him Local success in INDIA. The Song Sahnewal Chownk, written by"KALER GAHI BHAINI", a lyricist residing near his village. actually the song is A BIOPIC story of this LEGEND singer when he was a truck owner cum driver odf small mini truck TATA 407, and its reality written by this writer as told to him by singer KAKA BHAINAWALA, the song depicts that real story of singer KAKA BHAINIWALA ||SAHNEWAL CHOWNK is a famous song from his very first DEBUT Album :"MASHOOK TERI CHALLI" with Music Pearls. The song's musical tracks along with vocals was given by producer SANJEEV SOOD to one MUSIC ARRANGER IN UK which was later REMIXED by SUKHI OF KISS "N TELL and then some more vocals were provided by SANJEEV SOOD for REMIX UK MUSIC and then the story of his SUCCESS IN UK STARTED...... He later started singing for UK producers, such Bally Rai. His major breakthrough in the UK Bhangra market came through the release of "Sahnevaal Chounk", the title track on the debut album of Specialist 'N' Tru-Skool, Word Is Born. Singer KAKA BHAINIWALA Also worked as PATHI and was also reciting GURBANI SHABADS &daily sikh prayers "PATH" at a local GURDWARA in Five Bhaini villages also known as "PUNJ BHAINIA" of that area. He was very HARD WORKING person and DAILY RIAAJ /PRACTICE was his first morning DUTIES.
Following on from his success from that REMIXED TRACK "SAHNEWAL CHOWNK", he went on to work with many other producers and continued his success. His solo album was in the process of being completed when he died. This album is still currently being completed and is due to release in 2015. It will feature production from the likes of Notorious Jatt, Tru-Skool, AMX and others.
He has had many successful hits with many famous artists including, DJ H, DJ Rags and most notably sanjeev sood, with his sole UK Singles Chart dent providing lead vocals for Nachna Onda Nei, which made No. 62 after being used in performances by Signature in the talent show Britain's Got Talent.

Death

On 12 April 2009, it was announced that Bhaniawala had died of jaundice from liver failure in Ludhiana after going through a routine blood treatment. This was due to excessive drinking. The loss was mourned by many in the bhangra industry and came as shock to many fans who did not expect the sudden loss.

Legacy

After his death, a concert was held in Birmingham to raise money for his family based in India. Famous singers and producers from around the world came together to pay tribute. After his death, numerous songs and albums were released featuring his voice as well as his presence in some of the music videos.
