Airport Extension

Due to the limited expansion options available and restrictions enforced by the Airports Authority of India, the airport will not be able to cope with the growing demand for air traffic into Kanpur. Hence, an additional terminal of airport in 300 acres has been proposed on Kanpur Prayagraj National Highway.
It will be a state of art terminal with modern facilities. There will be 6 hangers and waiting room of 300 passengers capacity with a four-lane connectivity from Highway.
