Kebun Baru


Kebun Baru is a precinct located at Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. It is located in the west of Ang Mo Kio and bounded by Mayflower district and Bishan - Ang Mo Kio Park. The Members of Parliament for this constituency are MPs Henry Kwek and Dr Koh Poh Koon.
It will be served by the Mayflower MRT station along the Thomson-East Coast MRT Line in 2020.

Etymology

Kebun Baru is often seen as a tranquil district compared to central Ang Mo Kio, which is flanked by giant malls such as AMK Hub and rows of suburb shop houses. The name is adapted from a former kampung, Kampong Kebun Baharu.
