Keche


Keche is a Ghanaian musical hip-life group formed in 2004. They are popularly known for their hit Sokode, which was part of the popular azonto tracks of 2012. The duo were conferred an honorary title "Global Ambassadors for Peace" by the president of Liberia in 2011.

History

The Keche hiplife group is a duo made up of Joshua Ampah and Andrew Cudjoe both born and bread in the Western Region of Ghana, Takoradi. The two has been friends for over 15 years now. The word Keche means "skills" in the Akan language. Keche Musical group was formed in 2004 and in 2008, they released their first single "Omegami" this was followed by their next single "Ring my bell" which featured Sarkodie.
They are known for their popular songs Sokode, Aluguntugui, Daibetes, Pressure, etc. In 2011, the Keche group was recognised as a Global Ambassador for Peace by the then Liberia's President, her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Following that, the group also performed at the UN Peace concert in Monrovia, Liberia in 2014 which gave the group recognition across Africa. In 2019, the group signed a 2 year record deal with Golden Empire Legacy Limited, a music record label.
